How much sterling silver medals are depends on their subject matter and age. In ancient times, silver was rarely used as commemorative coins, but it was only used as a currency in circulation, but its shape was far from its current function. During the Guangxu period, silver dollars were minted in large quantities, with a dragon on it, called Longyang.

In the early years of the Republic of China, silver dollars with the profile head of Sun Yat-sen and the profile head of Yuan Shikai were minted successively, commonly known as Sun Xiaotou and Yuan Datou. These silver dollars have been baptized by history and attached special commemorative significance. Now they are more collected as sterling silver commemorative coins and sterling silver commemorative medals. In contemporary times, sterling silver commemorative medals have become very common, and can not only be purchased, but also customized by yourself.
